Technician

in

the

Mining

Division

based in

Harmony South – Welkom

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Installation and fault finding of new alarms, electric fences and CCTV Systems;

Maintenance of existing electronic security systems;

Repairing of cables, focusing, cleaning and re - adjusting of cameras;

Attending meetings when required to;

Regular communications and development of a good relationship with clients;

Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant responsibilities;

Adhere to the Agreement between the client and the company;

Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations;

Management and Control of Documentation, Including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets;

Submission of fault reports on the system;

Compiling of Job Card Quotes and obtaining required cost code for ordering;

Available to be on standby when required and to work long hours if required;

Ensure adherence to Company policy & procedures;

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;

Driver’s license Code 8

Relevant experience with IDS Alarms, Listener CRM Software, Hikvision CCTV Equipment, Nemtek Electric Fences;

Basic Computer Troubleshooting skills

Basic IT Networking Knowledge

Bilingual (English and Afrikaans, other South African language advantages);

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Must reside in Welkom or surrounding areas;

Own transport;

No criminal record;

Willing to work long hours / overtime and willing to travel extensively;
