Eko Maintenance Limited, a rapidly growing facility management company specializing in the maintenance of high-rise building facilities with an office located in Victoria Island, Lagos, is recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: HSE Officer Location: Victoria Island, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Description: We are seeking a competent and proactive HSE Officer to support our Health, Safety and Environmental operations. The successful candidate will help ensure compliance with HSE standards, safe work practices, and effective operational controls. Key Responsibilities: Identifying workplace hazards and risks and implementing appropriate control measures to prevent accidents and incidents. Conducting risk assessments and developing Safe Systems of Work (SSW) for technical and hazardous activities. Oversee permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities (electrical isolation, working at height, confined space, hot works). Promote a proactive safety culture through toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and visible engagement with the on-site team. Support emergency preparedness planning and drills (fire, evacuation, critical incident response) across the site. Requirements & Qualifications: Degree or HND in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong communication and training-delivery skills, with the ability to influence safety behaviour across a diverse workforce. Minimum 3 years’ HSE experience, ideally within Facilities Management, construction, industrial, or large public-venue/hospitality environments. Certification in HSE, ISO, and NEBOSH is a plus.
