For more information, visit cimmyt.org. The purpose of this job is to support the operation and maintenance of breeding and phenotyping greenhouse and screenhouse facilities in Bambey, Senegal. The position will provide technical support to plant breeding, plant pathology, disease screening, and crop improvement activities while ensuring that greenhouse facilities operate efficiently, safely, and according to established protocols. Key Responsabilities: He/She will conduct activities with specific tasks that include, but are not limited to: 1. Greenhouse Operations Management Manage the daily operations of the greenhouse and soil preparation areas. Support efficient workflow implementation and access control procedures. Operate and monitor greenhouse environmental conditions, irrigation systems, and plant health. Support greenhouse, screenhouse, and nursery activities including seedling establishment, transplanting, plant maintenance, and harvesting. 2. Research Support Support research activities involving sorghum, pearl millet, and groundnut. Assist with greenhouse and field research operations as required.
